Creative Cities Collection Fine Arts Exhibition London 2012’, i.e. ‘Olympic Fine Arts 2012 (London)' (hereinafter referred to as ‘Exhibition’) was held on August 1-7, 2012 in London, and showed the paintings of 500 famous artists from home and abroad. The ‘Exhibition’ has been authorized to use the logo of ‘Inspire’ by London Organizing Committee for Olympic Games (LOCOG), marking that this activity has officially been included into the projects of cultural activities for the London Olympics. The ‘Creative Cities Collection Fine Arts Exhibition London 2012’, i.e. ‘Olympic Fine Arts 2012 (London) Invited Exhibition in Beijing’, as an important part of the activities and a promotional activity before the Exhibition, it is aimed at promoting the Olympic spirit, propagating the Olympic culture and creating a good atmosphere for this activity.
Michelle ODELIN the French artist has been selected to be part of the Olympic Fine Arts Exhibition "Creative Cities Collection" held in London from 1st to 8th August 2012 at Barbican Center.
It is a wonderful exhibition and an honor that this French Artist living in Tuscany (Italy) has been selected.
Artists of the Olympic family from all over the world attended the opening gala at Barbican Center and bear witness to the profound belief that "Art makes the Olympics more beautiful".
The exhibition embodies the Olympic spirit and the common emphasis we place on art and culture.
DUE LlNGUAGGl ARTlSTlCl A CONFRONTO
Pittura e fotografia: due mondi paralleli che ci narrano la storia da angolazioni diverse. Ma cosa veramente unisce ed allontana queste due forme di linguaggio? La volonta’ di fermare il tempo, di fissare un luogo, di sospendere un fatto accaduto o un'immagine, cio’ rende le due espressioni artistiche cosi’ vicine: testimoni di un tempo trascorso che rivive grazie ad un rapporto che nasce e si consolida tra un obiettivo ed un fotografo, tra una tela ed un pittore. Ma non é solo questo che rende questi due mezzi espressivi cosi’ vicini; anche I'operare sullo stesso terreno linguistico, privilegiando una visione e quindi una rappresentazione del reale soggettiva, frammentaria e modificabile, fa si’ che si possa parlare di un'unione tra I'arte pittorica e quella fotografica. Fatto e sentimento, contenuto e forma si fondono dando vita a due rappresentazioni creative differenti. La prima, la pittura, cresce con il tempo, I'estro creativo si muta in disegno e, grazie all'abilita’ pittorica dell'artista, diviene forma. La fotografia a differenza della pittura e’ immediata; I'istante di un preciso luogo o azione viene fermato creando da subito un apporto indissolubile tra documento e memoria in un gioco fatto di luci, angolazioni e percezioni degne di un vero artista. Henri Cartier-Bresson diceva spesso: "Dietro alla macchina fotografica c'e’ I'occhio, il cuore, la mente". Nella mostra "Narrazioni Parallele" pittura e fotografia diventano interpreti di una stessa realta raccontata in modo differente: la storia di un'opera d'arte da quando nasce a quando cresce e viene portata a compimento. L'arte fotografica di Paolo Pagnini e quella pittorica di Umberto Falchini si fondono in un connubio perfetto divenendo preziosi strumenti interpretativi di grandi valori culturali e sociali portando I'osservatore ad un coinvolgimento diretto ed a conoscere, attraverso lo scatto del fotografo. cosa si cela dietro ad un'opera pittorica finita. Quali sentimenti o ripensamenti esistono dietro ad una pennellata di colore, quali emozioni il pittore vuole trasmettere e quali nascondere e soprattutto quale vera volonta’ sta dietro ad un apparente gioco di linee, di colori e forme.

In the spring of 2012, the 3rd edition of the contemporary art triennial exhibition will move from the nave of the Grand Palais into the open galleries of the Palais de Tokyo and other neighbouring institutions along la Colline de Musées. Through the concept of "Intense Proximity," La Triennale will investigate what it means to be active as an artist working today, in the context of a globalized and diverse French art scene. The French Ministry of Culture and Communication has invited Okwui Enwezor to serve as Artistic Director of La Triennale. The first major event marking the reopening of the Palais de Tokyo in 2012, La Triennale will offer a large panorama of contemporary art at the intersection of the French art scene and global sites of production. Beginning within the interiors of the expanded and refurbished Palais de Tokyo, La Triennale is set in a series of overlapping cartographies that shift from small-scale collaborations with emerging research, production, exhibition, and performance spaces in Paris and the surrounding suburb, to explorations of the critical valences between the near and far, between the edges of France and countries adjacent to and bordering them. Inspired by the great work of early to mid 20th century French ethnography figures such as Claude Levi-Strauss, Marcel Mauss, Michel Leiris, and Marcel Griaule, La Triennale sets off on a journey to explore the nodes where art and ethnography converge in a renewal of fascination and estrangement. Fundamentally, the goal of the project is to shift from the idea of national space, as a constituted physical location, to a frontier space that constantly assumes new morphologies and new models of categorization (local, national, trans-national, geo-political, denational, pure, contaminated, etc.). Contemporary art has become a global phenomenon fostered by an ever-growing network of relations overcoming distances. La Triennale will therefore approach the art of today through this wealth of connections. Its title, "Intense Proximity", points to those frictions, those heterogeneous tensions, which set every human activity into motion. It also questions how an individual's origins, intellectual education or life path have an impact on his/her situation in the larger context of a society in which the fault lines are increasingly unchartered than ever. It also asks how La Triennale can be constituted within the debates that currently animate French society. Set against the background of a globalization brimming with both hopes and fears as well as the looming shadow of cultural isolationism, artists from different origins and different fields, but all somehow sharing the cultural references which contemporary art provides, will address these tricky issues in their individual practice and alongside an expansive and robust guest program. Okwui Enwezor is the director of Haus der Kunst, Munich. He has served as artistic director of documenta 11 in Kassel, and the biennials of Johannesburg, Sevilla and Gwangju. He was Dean of Academic Affairs and Senior Vice President of the San Francisco Art Institute (2005–2009), and is widely acknowledged as a leading and influential figure on the contemporary art scene. As artistic director of La Triennale, Okwui Enwezor brings incisive critical insight, international awareness and extensive practical experience. After La Force de l'Art 01 and 02 at the Grand Palais in 2006 and 2009, the newly-reinvented La Triennale will be one of the major art events of 2012. Artistic Director Enwezor proposes a broad, stimulating panorama of contemporary art. Aiming to explore potential areas of dialogue between various artistic disciplines and cultural scenes, he will work in close collaboration with a team of four associate curators, all passionately involved in the contemporary art scene on which they have their own personal take: Mélanie Bouteloup, Abdellah Karroum, Émilie Renard and Claire Staebler. 'La Triennale is happening at a point in which the vitality of contemporary art around France and Paris is immense. The surrounding landscape is not only the landscape of big institutions and powerful structures, but a landscape that is being constructed as we speak by multiple voices, a lot of them emerging voices, not in contestation of the powerful institutions but really enlarging the rise of the possible in Paris. La Triennale is not an exhibition that is about bringing something Paris has not seen before but it is about being part of this developing and growing narrative in a space that has been a primary institution over the past ten years, in terms of different methodologies of exhibition making, the discursive as well as the critical dimensions between art and thought, art and life.
Most importantly, La Triennale wants to create a space of intellectual generosity.

Noto citta' della bellezza, Noto citta' incantata, Noto Luogo di poesia, passione, visione. Noto e le sue strade che sono come giardini in cui la pietra prende il posto degli alberi. L'idea centrale di questo progetto é di investire sul concetto del giardino nell'accezzione mitologica: il giardino inteso come "luogo" mitico, che contiene verita' differenti, che contiene piante d'Oriente e d'Occidente, il giardino inteso cosi' come lo definisce De Certeau, "carta del mondo". Nel Barocco di Noto questo progetto é un invito al pensiero totale, a vivere l'arte come chiave vitale, capace di aprire orizzonti nuovi attraverso la visione. Un giardino di pietra come narrazione del mondo, in cui forme e segni divengono racconto, intreccio. Il limite del giardino-mondo é allora quello colto per esempio della poesia di Traki, é figura del mutamento: metafora centrale della curva barocca che rimanda ad altri possibili.

La poesia come materia prima del suo linguaggio artistico, le parole dette, scritte, suonate, disegnate dai grandi interpreti del Novecento sono l'alfabeto delle sue opere. Marco Nereo Rotelli da' voce agli interpreti della lirica scritta attraverso un susseguirsi di lavori che spaziano dalla pittura alla scultura, dall'installazione al video e che, per un mese intero, nel periodo di Carnevale, coinvolgera' i piu' importanti centri espositivi della citta' di Venezia.

Jean Dubuffet a Lucca Irriverente, anticonvenzionale, irritante, geniale, debordante e assolutamente libero da ogni schema possibile: queste le caratteristiche di un artista che ha sovvertito le sorti dell'arte del Novecento. Per Jean Dubuffet l'arte culturale dei musei e delle gallerie non esisteva: il vero artista avrebbe dovuto rompere con ogni cosa conosciuta, distruggere la superficialità dell'ordinario, togliere la maschera dell'uomo sociale e civilizzato per far esprimere l'individuo selvaggio e puro che ognuno ha dentro di sé.
Curata da Stefano Cecchetto e Maurizio Vanni, la mostra "Jean Dubuffet e l'Italia" - per buona parte inedita e organizzata dal Lu.C.C.A. in collaborazione con la Fondation Dubuffet di Parigi - riporta Dubuffet in Italia a distanza di un decennio proponendo proprio i legami dell'artista francese con il nostro paese.
L'esposizione vuole infatti rintracciare un percorso intorno alla presenza, alla fortuna critica e al collezionismo di Jean Dubuffet in Italia. Escluso il forte rapporto con gli Stati Uniti ed alcune occasioni in Europa, è proprio nel nostro paese che, dal 1958, l'artista trova un coinvolgimento che va ben al di là dei soli interessi commerciali. Dalle prime mostre a Milano presso il "Naviglio" di Carlo Cardazzo, e successivamente di Renato Cardazzo, ai primi ariticoli di Renato Barilli, Lorenza Trucchi, Giuseppe Raimondi, fino alle importanti monografie che questi gli dedicano, alla presentazione del ciclo dell'Hourloupe e della serie dei Phénomènes (Palazzo Grassi, 1964) e dello spettacolo Coucou Bazar (Torino, 1978). Attraverso la raccolta di documenti (carteggi con Cardazzo, Trucchi, Barilli e Marinotti) e delle opere ancora presenti in Italia si intende rendere omaggio, attraverso oltre 60 lavori, ad un momento chiave della storia della critica d'arte e del collezionismo in Italia.

Approda a Roma la IV edizione di Stemperando: 132 opere su carta di 66 artisti contemporanei di ogni parte del mondo. Il denominatore comune è l’uso della carta come supporto materiale all’espressione 
personale dell’artista: carte pregiate, carte rare, carte leggere, cartoncini, carte a superficie liscia, a superficie ruvida, lavorate a mano o a livello industriale. Altrettanto varie le tecniche impiegate:dall’acquerello alla tempera, dall’acrilico al pastello, agli interventi plastici, alle fotografie. Una galleria di opere che spaziano dalla figuratività all’astrazione, dal lirismo alla drammaticità, dai colori trasparenti alle superfici materiche, dai timbri intensi alle velature delicate.
